About Queniborough November 5th

Over a half century ago the community came together to celebrate Bonfire Night. They pooled their fireworks and cooked their own jacket potatoes on the bonfire.

A committee was formed to plan and manage what was to become an annual event. Its priorities were to organise a safe family display and to raise funds for village groups.

As the years passed the displays got bigger and better to the point now where all our display team are nationally qualified and also overseen by a professional display manager. Fireworks are discharged by our own computer controlled electronics to give the seamless flowing display which we all marvel at.

Safe family enjoyment is enhanced by our adopting all guidelines and requirements of the Health and Safety Executive and the local authorities.

Sales of refreshments help us to generate funds to give back to Village organisations and to put on a party for the senior citizens of the Village.

Our magical Santa Tour is also looked forward to by the Village and renowned for being one of the few in the County to visit almost every road in the Village, meeting residents, raising funds and collecting toys for local charities
